Patricia (Tricia) Kaplan grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. She has lived in many places including Washington, DC, Seattle, and Chicago before moving to Austin in 2004. She graduated with a degree in English and History from Radford University in 1990. She also has a Nursing degree from South University. After working as a nurse and administrator since 2003, she decided to give back to the community and work specifically with autistic individuals. She is going into her third year working with those on the autism spectrum. She lives in South Austin with her husband of 34 years, her 2 sons David and Ben, and 2 cats Sky and Charlie. In her free time, Tricia loves to spend time with her family, reading, watching old movies, doing crosswords, and drawing.
