TxABA Days at the Capitol, TxABA Public Policy Group Advisory Board Member, Kelle Wood Rich

January 25-26, 2017 marked TxABA Days at the Capitol. A group of 70 wearing TxABA Public Policy Group T-shirts, made by adults with Autism, took the Capitol by storm last week in support of SB 589- Licensure for Behavior Analysts. We were announced on both the Senate and the House floors, a first for BCBA's in Texas. CTAC was represented by our Owner/Executive Director, Kelle Wood Rich, M.Ed., BCBA, who serves on the Advisory Board of the TxABA Public Policy Group. She participated as a group leader meeting with Senators, Representatives and their staff throughout the day. We are expecting a House Bill number any day now so be on the look out for that! Did you know there are 26 other States that have licensure for BCBA's? We don't want Texas to be in the bottom half or to attract unqualified people to our state. So let's support SB589!
